5 years agoBrooks Koepka has withdrawn from The Northern Trust citing lingering knee and hip injuries. He was seen during the third round of the PGA Championship getting his hip stretched and his knee surgery has been well documented. He will now set his sights on returning for the US Open at Winged Foot on September 17th. Koepka was entering the playoffs ranked No. 97 in the FedEx Cup standings.--Aaron Burger

10 months agoBrooks Koepka finished tied for ninth at last week's LIV Houston, marking his third straight top-10 finish in LIV events, including one win during that time. Koepka will now prepare for this week's U.S. Open at Pinehurst, where he has historically performed well. In 2023, he finished T17, 55th in 2022, and tied for fourth in 2021. Pinehurst will be a tough challenge for golfers this week, with an emphasis on accuracy on approach shots. Over the past 12 months, Koepka ranks in the 75th percentile in greens in regulation percentage on approach shots from over 200 yards in the fairway. Considering his recent form and past success at the U.S. Open, Koepka could be worth considering for DFS lineups this week.--Ian Christenson - RotoBaller

11 months agoAfter a two-shot victory in Singapore over the other biggest names the breakaway league possesses, it has the entire golfing world -- especially the bettors and DFS players -- ready to put Brooks Koepka at the top of the board near Scottie Scheffler's and Roy McIlroy's odds. The 34-year-old has undoubtedly been the most dominant Major Championship competitor this generation, with five total to his name. However, the strategy for playing him in lineups will be the hope of him outperforming the other two names mentioned above, as they will most likely be the most popular plays. With a T15 here in 2014 and a golf game that has been on a consistent rise since his flat performance at Augusta (he has gained over 19 strokes total on the field over his last two starts), Koepka is as appealing a play as ever on the DFS front. But the presumption that he will outshine the other two hottest players in the game is a tall order that even he will have trouble achieving.--Todd McGill - RotoBaller

2 years agoBrooks Koepka heads to the Open Championship looking for major No. 6. He has been fantastic in major championships this season, winning the PGA Championship, finishing T2 at the Masters and finishing T17 at the U.S. Open. Koepka has great links-golf experience since he began his career on the Challenge Tour in Europe. He has carried that over into the Open Championship, finishing inside the top 10 four times in his last six tries. The 33-year-old is near the top of the odds list this week, and deservingly so, as his game is in great form. Expect for him to compete this week.--Matt Miller - RotoBaller

3 years agoBrooks Koepka has only played in three events since April, all three being majors, with his best result being a 55th-place finish at the U.S. Open. His approach play and short game are diminishing any opportunity he might have of contending at these high-level events. With very little form to write home about heading into the final major of the year, there are a multitude of other less-risky options to choose from this week.--Byron Lindeque
