Brooks Baldwin Launches First Long Ball In First Triple-A Game
4 months agoChicago White Sox shortstop prospect Brooks Baldwin went 2-for-5 in his first Triple-A game on Thursday with a single and home run. This is a great sign, as the 23-year-old wasted no time to make an impact at the top level of the minors. With Double-A Birmingham, the number 24 ranked prospect in the White Sox system posted an excellent .322/.386/.441 slash line with six home runs, 37 RBI, and 16 swiped bags in 74 games earlier this season. Baldwin was selected in the 12th round of the 2022 MLB Draft and is progressing through the minor leagues very quickly. Due to his current pace, Baldwin should see a majority of next season in the major leagues.
