Broncos Trending Toward Running Back By Committee
6 years agoDenver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph said he'd like to have two or three main running backs share the load in 2018. The team has five tailbacks -- Devontae Booker, De'Angelo Henderson, Royce Freeman, David Williams and Phillip Lindsay -- with Andy Janovich the only fullback on the roster. Joseph said "somebody's got to be the starter," and that figures to be Booker to start training camp. Freeman and Williams are both rookies, and Booker has only put up 3.6 yards per carry in his first two seasons. Booker will get the first shot, but Freeman has the best chance to steal the most touches from him. It'll be a complicated backfield for fantasy owners, and it might be best to avoid it if you can. Booker is the safest to own for now, but Freeman probably has the most fantasy upside.
