2 years agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy (elbow) suffered a torn UCL in the team's NFC Championship loss to the Philadelphia Eagles and is now planning to undergo surgery to repair it later this month. On February 21st, the 23-year-old will meet with Dr. Keith Meister in Dallas, with the procedure scheduled for the following day. According to Ian Rapoport, Purdy will make a full recovery and could even be ready for training camp. With Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) expected to find a new home in the coming months, Purdy will likely compete with former third-overall NFL Draft selection Trey Lance (ankle) for the 49ers' QB1 duties next season.--Jorden Hill - RotoBaller
