34 seconds agoSan Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said that quarterback Brock Purdy (shoulder) did some "light throwing" on Monday and that everything was good. Purdy sat out of the Week 12 loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday due to a right-shoulder injury that remains somewhat of a mystery. It's good news that the 24-year-old had a successful throwing session to start the week, but his status for the Week 13 contest versus the Buffalo Bills on Sunday is very much up in the air as of now. If Purdy is unable to go by the weekend, Brandon Allen would likely make a second straight start after going just 17-for-29 for 199 yards, one TD and one interception in the loss to Green Bay. Everyone in San Fran's offense struggled in Week 12 with Allen under center, outside of tight end George Kittle.
