Brock Purdy A Borderline Starter In Week 6
1 year agoSan Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy faces a tough test this week when the team travels to Cleveland to take on the Browns' top-ranked pass defense. Purdy has the Bay Area abuzz after another consecutive win last week, this one against a quality Dallas Cowboys defense. In that game, he was 17-for-24 with four touchdowns and no interceptions. Purdy will have all of his receiving options healthy but Cleveland's pass defense has been dominant, ranking first in the NFL with 125 yards per game allowed through the air and tying for first with only three passing touchdowns allowed. However, their defense might not be as scary as the numbers suggest, as they have faced Cincinnati and a hobbled Joe Burrow, then Pittsburgh, Tennessee, and Baltimore. Overall, Purdy is a risky start this week, on the QB1/QB2 border.
