Brock Bowers Looks To Build On Strong Debut Against Ravens
7 months agoLas Vegas Raiders rookie tight end Brock Bowers had an impressive debut in Week 1, catching six passes on eight targets for 58 yards, good for 11.8 PPR fantasy points. He will look to build off last week's performance in Sunday's matchup against the Baltimore Ravens. The tight end position started in 2024 at an absolute zero temperature, with few tight ends being remotely fantasy-relevant. The 21-year-old's production is extremely promising, especially where he was drafted. He was the best tight end prospect out of the 2024 rookie class and appears to be handling the transition to the NFL well. Bowers should receive a healthy target volume in Week 2. The Raiders will need his skills to compete with the Baltimore Ravens tough defense. He has the talent to do well in any situation, and fellow Raiders TE Michael Mayer doesn't look to be much of a factor. Despite the tough matchup, Bowers remains a must-start in all formats and is TE9 in the latest RotoBaller Week 2 rankings.

Brock Bowers Chasing More History In Season Finale
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers will be a top option at his position despite a stiff test in the Los Angeles Chargers. In Week 17's win over the New Orleans Saints, the rookie sensation broke Mike Ditka's rookie receiving yardage record and Puka Nacua's rookie reception record (in one fewer game). With one game remaining, the 22-year-old could make even more history as he closes in on Zach Ertz's single-season TE reception record set in 2018. The veteran notched 116 that season, meaning Bowers needs eight more catches to tie him. The Chargers aren't the most favorable of matchups, but with the Georgia product playing the role of the clear No. 1 option on his team, he still stands a chance to challenge an impressive mark. He'll come in as RotoBaller's PPR TE1 in this week's ranks.

Brock Bowers Lands In History Books After Week 17 Win
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers caught all seven of his targets for 77 yards during Sunday's Week 17 win over the New Orleans Saints. Along the way, Bowers set the record for most receiving yards by a rookie tight end in NFL history. Although he did break the record by passing Mike Ditka, who accomplished the feat in just 14 games compared to Bowers' 16, it's still an impressive accomplishment for the first-rounder out of Georgia. He also set the record for most receptions by a rookie in NFL history. The 22-year-old remains the overall TE1 in fantasy football, and he'll be a premier option at the position once more when the Raiders close out their season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 18.

Brock Bowers Remains QB's Favorite Target Ahead Of Week 17
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers remains a top fantasy football option given his high volume and productivity. The rookie should continue to be started in all leagues ahead of his Week 17 matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Bowers ranks first among tight ends in fantasy points this year, and he's coming off a big game against the Jacksonville Jaguars in which he caught 11 of 13 targets for 99 yards through the air. In fact, he was so productive that he vultured opportunities from wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who finished last week with a season-low two catches. Even in a slightly tougher matchup against the Saints, who are allowing the ninth-fewest fantasy points to tight ends in 2024, we expect that Bowers will continue to feast. For the most part, he has proven that he is already matchup-proof, routinely posting top fantasy performances. He should be started in all leagues as the fantasy playoffs continue.

Brock Bowers Rebounds With Another Huge Day
3 months agoLas Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers hauled in 11 of 13 targets for 99 yards in Sunday's 19-14 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. The rookie was at it again on Sunday, leading his team in targets, receptions, and yards. No other Raiders pass-catcher registered more than five receptions or six targets. It was another standout performance from Bowers, who registered his fourth game of 10 or more catches. The 22-year-old has already smashed Sam LaPorta's year-old reception record of 86 (101) and stands just nine yards shy of tying Mike Ditka's 63-year-old receiving yardage record (1,076). Astounding. He'll have a good shot at exceeding said record in Week 17 when Las Vegas lines up against the New Orleans Saints on the road next Sunday. Bowers is a locked-in TE1.
