Brice Butler Won't Re-Sign With the Cowboys Without a Promise That He'll Start
7 years agoImpending free-agent wide receiver Brice Butler stated in an interview on Thursday that he will not re-sign with the Dallas Cowboys unless he is promised a starting job next season. His exact words were, "With Dallas, the situation has to be right for me to go back [...] I have to be a starter. If I'm not starting, I'm not going back." With the Cowboys wide receiver corps mostly in flux this offseason, there's a chance Butler is indeed offered a starting job in Dallas. If not, he'll sign somewhere else and could be a strong change-of-scenery candidate. Butler has shown well in limited usage, catching just 15 passes in 2017 but gaining 317 yards. He's a guy who can be had for next to nothing in fantasy leagues and may actually put up some results next season depending on his situation.
