2 days agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. played after being questionable all week but didn't do much in a 12-7 loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Jaguars offense as a whole didn't do much, but BTJ specifically finished with just two catches for 12 yards on three targets. With Mac Jones under center instead of Trevor Lawrence who was out due to injury, BTJ seems less likely to get accurate deep shots, reducing his big-play potential. That is arguably his biggest strength, so if Jones is under center going forward, that greatly caps his upside. The rookie has been stellar so far this season, but his chest injury combined with Lawrence's shoulder injury seems to be slowing down the momentum.
