Brian McCann Injured Tuesday
5 years agoAtlanta Braves catcher Brian McCann (knee) was removed from the game early as a precaution on Tuesday with left knee soreness. It's concerning since the 35-year-old missed two months last year while recovering from arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. Catching prospect Alex Jackson, the team's No. 25 prospect per MLB Pipeline, was taken out of Triple-A Gwinnett's game after McCann was injured, so he could be on his way to the majors to back up Tyler Flowers. McCann was hitless in his only plate appearances on Tuesday and is hitting .264/.336/.423 with 10 home runs, 26 runs and 39 RBI in his 274 plate appearances this year.
