6 years agoThe Boston Red Sox have turned to lefty Brian Johnson in lieu of the recent injury to knuckleballer Steven Wright. Johnson will make his second start of the season on Thursday against the Los Angeles Angels. Johnson has pitched in a relief role for the majority of the season, which has seen him garner a 1-2 record along with a 4.50 ERA and 1.44 WHIP across 36 innings. Although the Angels have not hit lefties particularly well this year, there are better streaming options on Thursday's slate.
