New England Patriots linebackers coach Brian Flores will take over the primary play-calling duties in 2018 with previous defensive coordinator Matt Patricia now the head coach of the Lions. New England has not yet named a defensive coordinator and are preparing to go into the season without one, according to two league sources. Flores has coached the team's linebackers since 2016 and started his career as a scouting assistant for the team in 2004. This is a significant change and could affect New England's overall productivity on defense. Although they shored up their secondary late in the year, the Patriots secondary was a liability early on. It'll be something worth watching heading into 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
