Philadelphia Flyers goaltender Brian Elliott will indeed get the nod Saturday afternoon as the Flyers take on the visiting New York Rangers. Despite going 6-1-3 in their last ten games, the Flyers are currently sitting in the last wild card spot and have a slim chance of being overtaken by the Florida Panthers if they fail to get at least a point against the Rangers. Elliott was rusty in Thursday's 4-3 overtime win over the Carolina Hurricanes, but settled things down and finished the game strong. The Rangers are embracing the rebuild but look to play spoiler tonight, so Elliott will likely have to be at his best to secure a playoff spot for the team.--Barry Miles
