Brian Dumoulin Traded To New Jersey
5 mins agoThe Anaheim Ducks have traded defenseman Brian Dumoulin to the New Jersey Devils in exchange for a 2025 second-round selection and forward prospect Herman Traff. Dumoulin has spent the entire 2024 campaign with the Ducks. Across 61 contests, Dumoulin has tallied 16 points (two goals) with 57 shots on goal and 10 penalty minutes. Dumoulin has tallied 60 hits with an impressive 91 blocked shots (1.5 per game). Over his previous six games, the 33-year-old has tallied two points with three hits and five blocked shots. After spending the past two seasons in the Western Conference (played the 2023 season in Seattle), Dumoulin will return to the Metropolitan Division, where he spent most of his career -- he spent his first 10 NHL seasons in Pittsburgh. He won two Stanley Cups with the Penguins and consistently played top pairing minutes. With New Jersey, fantasy managers should expect Dumoulin to find a role towards the top of their depth chart with Jonas Siegenthaler (lower body) and Dougie Hamilton (lower body) sidelined.
