Brian Dozier Heads To The Bench Against The Pirates
6 years agoWashington Nationals second baseman Brian Dozier is getting a rest day on Saturday afternoon against Chris Archer and the Pittsburgh Pirates. Dozier has a miniscule .163 average with one RBI through 46 plate appearances in 2019. In his absence, Howie Kendrick will start at second base and bat second. Kendrick has only been at the plate 11 times through the early portion of the season, but he is boasting a .625 average with a home run and three RBI. The 35-year-old is 1-for-9 in his career against Archer, but he is still worthy of a budget DFS play given his deployment in the lineup.
