Brian Anderson Injures Shoulder In Saturday's Loss
2 years agoMiami Marlins third baseman Brian Anderson (shoulder) injured his left shoulder when he dove for a single in the sixth inning of Saturday's 1-0 loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates. He went 0-for-3 with a strikeout before exiting and was replaced by JJ Bleday. The 29-year-old is scheduled for an MRI. The same shoulder caused Anderson to require two injured list stints last season. Before the injury, Anderson slashed .256/.346/.378 with three home runs, 12 RBI, 26 runs, and a stolen base over 54 games in 2022. The Marlins infielder is considered day-to-day, and more of a timeline will be established once the MRI results are in.
