6 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers have shown interest in free-agent second baseman Daniel Murphy, according to sources. They are also interested in re-signing third baseman Mike Moustakas. Murphy hit .299/.336/.454 with 12 home runs and 43 RBI in 91 games with the Nationals and Cubs and got off to a late start because of his knee injury. The Brew Crew traded for Jonathan Schoop at midseason last year hoping that he'd be the answer at the keystone, but he flopped and barely played in the postseason. Murphy is mainly a source for average in fantasy, and his defense is suspect. If they sign him and let Moustakas walk, Travis Shaw would likely return to the hot corner.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
