Brett Phillips Hits Inside The Park Home Run
3 years agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Brett Phillips went 2-for-4 with an inside-the-park home run during Monday's 9-2 win over the Baltimore Orioles. He lined a ball deep into left-center-field and turned on the jets to race all the way home for an inside-the-park homer. The Rays tied a season-high record in home runs in a game with five long balls in Monday's win. Phillips has now homered four times and driven in 11 runs over nine games in August. The 27-year-old doesn't play every day but has produced during his limited at-bats. Phillips is slashing .217/.307/.424 with 10 home runs, 35 RBI, 39 runs scored, and 11 stolen bases across 233 plate appearances in 2021. Fantasy managers can use Phillips as a streamer while he's wielding a hot bat during August.
