Brett Pesce Shows Well With Multi-Point Game
6 years agoCarolina Hurricanes defenseman Brett Pesce posted a goal, an assist and a plus-three rating with two shots, a blocked shot, a hit and a minor penalty in Saturday's 5-4 overtime victory against the Minnesota Wild. The 23-year-old rearguard struggled over his first three outings, going scoreless with a plus-2 rating and two penalty minutes. However, he has a goal in each of the past two contests, totaling three points with a plus-5 rating. Everyone from top to bottom is contributing to Carolina's fast start, but right now Pesce is still only worth a look in the deepest of fantasy pools.

Brett Pesce Will Miss Season Opener
6 months agoNew Jersey Devils defenseman Brett Pesce (lower leg) didn't travel with the team to Czechia to take on the Buffalo Sabres later in the week. The two teams will clash in a 2024 NHL Global Series matchup, which will kick off the 2024-25 NHL regular-season campaign. Pesce is recovering from a fractured fibula and remains week-to-week. The veteran blue-liner did skate with the team last week, so he shouldn't miss too many games at the start of the season. Seamus Casey could make his NHL debut in Pesce's absence in Prague.

Brett Pesce Considered Week-To-Week
7 months agoNew Jersey Devils defenseman Brett Pesce (lower leg) is considered week-to-week as he continues to progress from a fractured fibula. The 29-year-old suffered the injury early into the playoffs last season. Following nine campaigns with the Carolina Hurricanes, Pesce signed a six-year, $33 million deal with the Devils this summer. He will occupy a top-four spot in New Jersey, but Pesce has never put up big numbers offensively and he doesn't really do enough defensively either to be considered a must-have fantasy piece.
