Brett Maher Wins Kicker Job, Lirim Hajrullahu Released
3 years agoDallas Cowboys kicker Brett Maher is the only remaining kicker on the team's roster after it released Lirim Hajrullahu on Tuesday. Maher provides a familiar face to the Dallas kicking game, having appeared in 29 games across the 2018-19 campaigns. The 32-year-old kicked in eight games for the Saints last year, missing just one of 17 kicks from inside 50 yards. Hajrullahu kicked in one contest for Dallas last season, knocking through all five extra points he attempted. Maher isn't regarded as a stout fantasy choice, but his placement in the Cowboys' offense could vault him toward rostership on weeks where a favorable matchup is presented.

Rams Release Brett Maher, Plan To Sign Lucas Havrisik
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Rams released veteran kicker Brett Maher on Tuesday and are planning to sign former Indianapolis Colts kicker Lucas Havrisik off the Cleveland Browns practice squad in a corresponding move, according to sources. Maher gets the axe after missing two field-goal attempts and an extra point in the Week 7 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The 33-year-old went 17-for-23 on his field-goal tries and made 12 of his 13 extra points in seven games in LA this year before getting cut. Fantasy managers that had been using Maher will need to go in another direction moving forward. Havrisik, 24, went undrafted out of Arizona in 2022 and will be making his NFL debut in Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys. He won't be recommended as a starting lineup option at the position in fantasy.

Brett Maher Continues To Be A Top Kicker Option
1 year agoLos Angeles Rams kicker Brett Maher is currently the second overall kicker through the first six weeks of the season. The 33-year-old has hit 16-of-20 field goal attempts and is perfect on extra-point tries. The Rams have been very aggressive offensively, creating constant opportunities for Maher to knock down field goals. He has proven to be a top-three option at the position weekly and should not be on any waiver wires anymore. Fire Maher up with the utmost confidence in the team's Week 7 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Brett Maher A Top Option In Week 6
1 year agoLos Angeles Rams kicker Brett Maher continues to be one of the best options at the position right now. Maher has hit 12-of-16 field goals and is 10-of-10 on extra point tries. While he is tied for the most missed field goals through the first five weeks of this season, the 33-year-old will continue to get opportunities that the majority of kickers don't. Attempts are what you should be prioritizing when starting a kicker in fantasy, making Maher a must-start in the team's Week 6 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.

Brett Maher Continues To Be A Top Option
1 year agoLos Angeles Rams kicker Brett Maher is the No. 2 overall kicker through the first four weeks. Maher has attempted more field goals than any other kicker this season. The 33-year-old has made 12 of 16 field-goal attempts and is 8-for-8 on extra-point tries. The Rams have proved to consistently be able to get down the field and get into range for Maher. With wide receiver Cooper Kupp (hamstring) back and healthy, the offense will be even more explosive than it already was, creating more opportunities for field goals. Maher is a top-three option at kicker in his Week 5 matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles.
