5 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner is not in the starting lineup on Thursday. Cameron Maybin will get the nod in left field and will bat ninth against Blue Jays starting pitcher Edwin Jackson. Maybin is batting .272/.372/.358 with a homer, eight RBI and five steals on the season in a backup role for the Bombers. He's mainly useful for his speed in AL-only leagues, but he doesn't bring much upside to daily lineups hitting in the nine-hole.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
