Brett Gardner Homers Twice In Comeback Win
7 years agoThe New York Yankees enjoyed another thrilling comeback on Tuesday night at Yankee Stadium against the Houston Astros. One of the stars of the game was outfielder Brett Gardner, who drilled a leadoff home run to right in the very first inning. In the ninth, with his club down by two runs, he stepped to the plate with one on and one out. Gardner would tie the game with a clutch two-run blast to right. It was the conclusion of a four-hit night for the 34-year-old, who has improved vastly after a rough start, hitting .305 over the last 15 games.
