Brett Anderson, Blake Treinen Shut Down Halos
6 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher Brett Anderson allowed just three hits with two walks while striking out four batters across six scoreless innings to post a win Saturday against the Los Angeles Angels. He was very efficient in the quality start, throwing 56 of his 96 pitches for strikes. Reliever J.B. Wendelken allowed two runs - one earned - and two hits in his 1 1/3 innings of relief, but closer Blake Treinen came on for a five-out save, his first of the season. The Angels and A's wrap up the set on Sunday afternoon.
