Brenton Strange The Next Man Up In Week 2
2 months agoJacksonville Jaguars tight end Brenton Strange stepped in and played well after a last-minute Evan Engram injury in an 18-13 defeat to the Cleveland Browns. He finished with three receptions for 65 yards on six targets. The second-year pro did not contribute much as a rookie, but made the most of this sudden opportunity. Strange was tied for the team lead in receptions, second in targets, and second in receiving yards. For fantasy managers desperate at the tight end position (which seems to be most as of right now) Strange is an intriguing option as long as Engram is out. For fantasy managers with Engram, if Engram is at risk of missing next week as well, Strange is a perfect direct replacement. Even for non-Engram managers, Strange is worth looking into on waivers for next week. In Week 3, the Jaguars take on the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.
