Brenton Doyle Back In Monday's Lineup
10 months agoColorado Rockies outfielder Brenton Doyle (chest) is back in center field and is batting seventh on Monday against the visiting San Diego Padres and right-hander Dylan Cease. The Rockies held Doyle out as a precaution for the second game of a doubleheader on Sunday against the Seattle Mariners after he suffered a chest injury in Game 1. The 25-year-old has limited fantasy upside while hitting down near the bottom of Colorado's batting order, but that hasn't taken away from his hot start in 2024. The former fourth-rounder in 2019 from Shepherd University his hitting .289 (22-for-76) with three home runs, seven RBI and two stolen bases. Doyle is hitless so far in two career at-bats against Cease.
