5 months agoOakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker went 1-for-3 with a walk and solo home run in Tuesday's victory versus the division rival Los Angeles Angels. Rooker put the Athletics on the board with a 1-0 lead when he took Jose Soriano yard for a 405-foot home run in the bottom of the fourth inning. The slugger has been swinging the bat well of late a .295 batting average to go along with three homers and six RBI over the past two weeks. Rooker is having a very fine season in the middle of the Athletics lineup with a .261 batting average to go along with 16 homers and 48 RBI. As a player that can provide plenty of power and not hurt managers batting average, Rooker is worth rostering in most formats.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
