1 year agoOakland Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker is absent from Wednesday's starting lineup versus the Seattle Mariners. The right-handed slugger started off red-hot to begin the season, but has cooled down lately. He's hitting .200 (16-for-80) with just two homers and a 30/10 K/BB in May. That being said, it's not shocking to see the A's giving him the night off to rest. Seth Brown will bat third and cover right field, while JJ Bleday plays left field versus right-hander Bryce Miller on Wednesday.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
