Brent Headrick Converts Three-Inning Save On Wednesday
2 years agoMinnesota Twins lefty Brent Headrick made his Major League debut in Wednesday's 10-4 victory over the Boston Red Sox. He came into the game in the seventh and ended up closing out the game, pitching three innings while allowing one run on one hit and two walks, and he struck out three to earn the save. Headrick isn't a big name, but during his minor league career posted a respectable 3.52 ERA with a 1.29 WHIP and an impressive 30.5% strikeout rate. The twins roster two ninth-inning arms in Jhoan Duran and Jorge Lopez, so the 25-year-old has a lot of work to do to get into the closer mix. Fantasy managers can leave Headrick on the waiver wire in every league.
