Brendon Todd Hopes For Hot Putting At BMW Championship
1 year agoThe key to Brendon Todd's success is simple: Putt the lights out. The 38-year-old has gained strokes putting in each of his last four appearances, eclipsing 6.5 SG: Putting in two of those events. Todd has landed in the top-10 each time he's reached that level of success with his flat stick this season, but there does not appear to be immense upside anywhere else in his game. While putting has kept him around in the playoffs thus far, his off-the-tee game has continued to let him down. It's clear that Todd will need to exceed five strokes gained on the greens if he's to pose any threat to the top half of the leaderboard. While we've seen it happen a handful of times this year, many are hesitant to rely on such a fickle statistic, even in the bargain bin of the $6k-range on DraftKings. It's usually more profitable to look to a high-upside ball-striker instead of landing on Todd at a tough track like Olympia Fields.
