Brendan Steele Still Struggling
3 years agoBrendan Steele did not play well on tour last season and kicked off this year with a missed cut at the Sony Open, a course where he has had success in the past. There was not much optimism to be found in last week's performance either, as the 38-year-old finished near the bottom of the pack in strokes gained from tee-to-green. His big struggle has been with approaching the green, where he ranks 176th this season. The No. 110 ranked player in the world has made the cut in nine of 11 appearances at the American Express. That includes seven straight cuts made in as many years, with top-10 finishes in 2015 and 2017.

Brendan Steele Deserves Consideration At 3M Open
3 years agoBrendan Steele has had a strong start to the summer. He has yet to miss a cut since the Honda in February. Steele also recorded two straight top ten finishes at The PGA Championship and The Memorial. Steele's fine play is likely best attributed to his tee-to-green game. He has now gained strokes tee-to-green in eight straight starts. Steele figures to be highly owned. His recent form is too strong to ignore. He is a recommended play in cash and GPPs.

Brendan Steele Returns To Site Of First PGA Tour Win
3 years agoThe 2011 Valero Texas Open champion Brendan Steele returns to San Antonio this week with back-to-back solid finishes under his belt. Steele had missed five straight cuts from the Sony Open to the Honda Classic, but turned in a T26 at the API, and a T13 at the Players Championship to end the Florida swing. Now, Steele returns to a place he's made nine of ten career cuts since his win in 2011. With his history and recent play, Steele has an incredibly low DFS price this week. With the almost certainty of him making the cut, Steele should be strongly considered this week, with minimal risk to those who decide to roster him.

Brendan Steele Relying On Course History
3 years agoBrendan Steele has missed four consecutive cuts to start 2022. He has lost strokes on approach, around the green and putting in four out of five tournaments and has lost strokes from tee to green in all five. By all statistical metrics, the 38-year-old has shown no signs that he will play well this week. However, when Steele gets to PGA National, it all tends to click. The Californian has finished inside the top 14 in five of his last six stops at PGA National and has back-to-back top-five finishes. If you are looking for a horse for the course, Steele is that guy.

Does Brendan Steele Have It At The Sony Open?
3 years agoWhile this is only Brendan Steele's fourth appearance at Waialae Country Club, he finished second and fourth the past two years. Fantasy gamers who decide to play the No. 102 golfer in the world this week will mainly be focused on that recent course form. The 38-year-old had an up-and-down season last year with just a few top-10 finishes sprinkled among many poor results. He has not played since a T51 finish at The RSM Classic. There is clearly something about this course that he likes, but his current form might be an issue.
