Brendan Rodgers Activated Monday
1 year agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers (shoulder) has been activated from the 60-day injured list on Monday prior to the club's series opener against the San Diego Padres. Rodgers has yet to appear in a big-league contest this season due to a shoulder injury suffered in spring training. The ailment was potentially season-ending at the time but Rodgers has returned ahead of schedule after raking in five games for Triple-A Albuquerque. The 26-year-old hit .350 with one homer and a .981 OPS across 21 plate appearances at the minors' highest level and will make his season debut out of the five-hole as the designated hitter against Padres right-hander Seth Lugo on Monday night.
