5 years agoTampa Bay Rays two-way prospect Brendan McKay (shoulder) has been placed on the seven-day minor league injured list with left shoulder fatigue. There aren't any long-term concerns, so McKay should be an option for Tampa's rotation when rosters expand in September. The team's No. 2 prospect and No. 15 overall, per MLB Pipeline, didn't fare very well in his first eight MLB starts, posting a 5.55 ERA and 1.49 WHIP, but he did strike out 10.3 hitters per nine innings over 35 2/3 frames. The young left-hander has a bright future and should be part of the team's rotation next year, but don't expect him to give you much more this year in redraft leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
