Brendan Donovan 2025 Fantasy Baseball Outlook: Worth A Flyer In The Later Rounds
56 seconds agoSt. Louis Cardinals utility specialist Brendan Donovan is coming off a solid season at the plate. He hit .278 with 14 home runs, 34 doubles, and 73 RBI across 153 games in 2024. Those 14 home runs, 34 doubles, and 73 RBI were all career-highs, and the 28-year-old saw consistent playing time all around the diamond last year. As a result, Donovan is worth a look in the later rounds of fantasy baseball drafts. He has a great eye at the plate, and his 15.1% whiff rate and 12.4% strikeout rate ranked in the top 6% of the league last season. The Cardinals utility specialist won't finish with the best power numbers in 2025, but he can contribute solid numbers across the board. That makes him a potential target in the last round of drafts. He has hit for at least .278 in all three of his major league seasons and should be in a great spot to total over 65 RBI again this upcoming season. So, if you need a backup second baseman or outfielder for your fantasy team at the back end of drafts, Donovan could be a nice addition.
