1 year agoBrendan Allen improved to 23-5 as a pro and 11-2 with the UFC with a dominant third-round submission win over Paul Craig in the main event of UFC Vegas 82. Allen entered the fight as a sizeable betting favorite, and he showed why. The American outstruck Craig 52-to-13 and had nearly eight minutes of control time as he went 2-for-2 on takedowns in the fight. After dominating Craig for two rounds, Allen ended up sinking in a rear naked choke in the third round to extend his win streak to six. Allen will likely receive someone in the top-10 next and is likely a win or two away from a title shot.--Cole Shelton
