Brayden Point Ends Dry Spell With Two Goals
4 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point ended a four-game pointless streak with two goals in Thursday's 3-2 win over Columbus. He got things started with a power-play goal in the first period and completed a comeback win after Ross Colton had made it 2-2 in the final frame. Point became the 15th player in the league to register at least 15 goals and 15 assists this season. He'll head into a back-to-back set against Detroit with 32 points for the year. It's been another productive campaign for the 24-year-old, and meeting Detroit's leaky defense can only bring him more success. Point has recorded five points in four meetings with the Red Wings in 2020-21.
