7 years agoTampa Bay Lightning forward Brayden Point scored a goal and an assist on the powerplay to give the Lightning a 2-1 lead in the first period of last night's Game 2 against the Washington Capitals. It wouldn't be enough, however, as the Caps would go on to score five unanswered goals to take a 2-0 series lead home for Game 3. Point now has 12 points in 12 games for the Lightning as he continues to carry the momentum from his breakout season into the playoffs. With a spot on the top powerplay unit and steady linemates, Point is a safe bet every night.--Barry Miles
