Brayan Bello To Make Season Debut On Tuesday
43 seconds agoBoston Red Sox right-hander Brayan Bello (shoulder) will make his season debut on Tuesday and start against the Seattle Mariners, according to manager Alex Cora. Bello dealt with a right-shoulder injury in spring training and was forced to start the 2025 regular season on the 15-day injured list, but he's now ready to rejoin Boston's starting rotation after making four minor-league rehab starts. Although the 25-year-old had a 7.07 ERA during his rehab assignment, he did strike out 21 hitters while walking only four in his 14 innings of work with Double-A Portland and Triple-A Worcester. The Dominican hurler only got up to a maximum of 71 pitches in the minor leagues, so he probably won't be fully stretched out to go deep into his first big-league outing on Tuesday against Seattle. Fantasy managers in DFS and deeper single-year leagues would be wise to avoid Bello in his first start off the IL.
