Brayan Bello Reinstated And Starting On Monday
4 months agoThe Boston Red Sox reinstated right-hander Brayan Bello from the paternity list on Monday and placed left-hander James Paxton (calf) on the 15-day injured list in a corresponding move with a right-calf strain that he suffered during his start on Sunday against the Houston Astros. Bello was away from the team over the weekend for their series against the visiting Astros, but he will return to start the week and will make the start at Fenway Park against the visiting Texas Rangers. Overall, it's been a bit of a disappointing year for the 25-year-old, who was a popular fantasy breakout candidate in spring training. However, he's looked better in four starts since the All-Star break, giving up 11 earned runs while striking out 24 and walking eight in 22 innings pitched. The Dominican hurler still has an ERA north of 5.00 on the season to go along with a 1.45 WHIP in 111 2/3 frames.
