Brayan Bello Expected To Start Throwing On Sunday
14 seconds agoAccording to Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic, Boston Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello (shoulder) is expected to resume throwing on Sunday. Bello did not throw this week after feeling soreness in his shoulder. Bello also underwent imaging, but the results came back clear. Fantasy managers should continue monitoring his status once he resumes throwing on Sunday, in case he faces a setback. Last season, Bello logged a career-high 162 1/3 innings at the major league level. Across this stint, the 25-year-old held a 4.49 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. He tallied strikeouts at a modest 21.8 percent rate and showed weak command of his pitches with a below-average 9.1 percent walk rate. He also generated a 41.1 percent hard-hit rate, which placed him in the 29th percentile. If healthy, fantasy managers should expect Bello to have a role in the rotation during the 2025 season.
