Braxton Garrett Toeing The Rubber In Pivotal Game Tuesday
1 year agoMiami Marlins pitcher Braxton Garrett is getting the starting nod for what is going to be one of many crucial games for his club on Tuesday versus the New York Mets. Entering the final week of the season, the Fish are just one game back of the Chicago Cubs and Arizona Diamondbacks for the final Wild Card spot in the National League. Garrett will look to narrow that gap on Tuesday in what marks his 31st outing (30th start) on the season. The southpaw has worked to a 3.53 ERA, 3.55 SIERA, and a healthy 19.8% K-BB% on the back of an elite 4.2% BB% in his 155 2/3 innings of work. The good news for the Marlins is Garrett has been much better on the road, tossing a 2.52 ERA across 75 road frames versus a 4.46 ERA across 80 2/3 innings at loanDepot Park in Miami.
