Braxton Garrett Optioned To Triple-A On Tuesday
3 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Braxton Garrett was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on Tuesday, according to Jordan McPherson of the Miami Herald. To replace him on the roster, the Marlins selected the contract of starting pitcher Luis Madero from Triple-A. Garrett struggled over eight appearances with Miami this season, going 1-2 with a 5.03 ERA, 1.824 WHIP and 20.1 percent strikeout rate over 34 innings of work. This has been a rough year for Garrett between Miami and Jacksonville, but he has shown potential to be a good fantasy pitcher in the future. He can be dropped in redraft formats, but dynasty managers should continue to keep him rostered.
