1 year agoThe Atlanta Braves recalled right-handed pitching prospect Roddery Munoz from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday and outrighted left-hander Lucas Luetge to Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Munoz, the team's No. 21 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will be getting his first taste of the majors after posting a 4.94 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, 20 walks and 24 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings over 15 outings (one start) between Double-A Mississippi and Gwinnett. The 23-year-old had been looking better in recent outings at Gwinnett, so he'll get the call to Atlanta for the time being. Munoz's fastball/slider combination can generate plenty of swings and misses, but he'll need to limit the free passes if he's going to stick around in the Braves' bullpen.
