Braves Recall Roddery Munoz From Triple-A
1 year agoThe Atlanta Braves recalled right-handed pitching prospect Roddery Munoz from Triple-A Gwinnett on Tuesday and outrighted left-hander Lucas Luetge to Gwinnett in a corresponding move. Munoz, the team's No. 21 prospect per MLB Pipeline, will be getting his first taste of the majors after posting a 4.94 ERA, 1.61 WHIP, 20 walks and 24 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings over 15 outings (one start) between Double-A Mississippi and Gwinnett. The 23-year-old had been looking better in recent outings at Gwinnett, so he'll get the call to Atlanta for the time being. Munoz's fastball/slider combination can generate plenty of swings and misses, but he'll need to limit the free passes if he's going to stick around in the Braves' bullpen. Fantasy managers in single-year leagues can ignore him for now.
