Braves Officially Agree With Josh Donaldson
6 years agoThe Atlanta Braves agreed to a one-year, $23 million deal with free-agent third baseman Josh Donaldson on Monday, according to sources. The deal is pending a physical. Donaldson will hope to bounce back in 2019 after missing most of the 2018 season due to lingering calf issues. Before this year, Donaldson had at least 33 home runs in each of the previous three years, so he certainly has power in his lumber. It's just a matter of whether he can stay on the field for the improving Braves lineup. Donaldson will be a risk/reward fantasy selection next spring. His addition means that Johan Camargo will likely serve in a utility role next year.
