Braves Looking At Marcus Stroman
6 years agoThe Atlanta Braves have engaged the Toronto Blue Jays on starting pitcher Marcus Stroman, according to a source. Braves general manager Alex Anthopoulos is familiar with Stroman from his time as Toronto's GM, and Stroman would fit Atlanta's approach to building for the future as a controllable piece. However, Stroma's value is low with his 5.42 ERA this year after he spent time on the disabled list with right shoulder fatigue. With a weak starting pitcher market at the deadline, Stroman could attract significant interest. Since returning from the DL, Stroman has a 3.03 ERA. He'd benefit from moving from a hitter-friendly environment in Toronto in a tough American League East.
