Braves Acquire Matt Olson From A's
3 years agoThe Atlanta Braves are acquiring first baseman Matt Olson from the Oakland Athletics on Monday in exchange for starting pitchers Ryan Cusick and Joey Estes, outfielder Cristian Pache and catcher Shea Langeliers, according to a source. Another blockbuster in what should be a crazy week. It also means that former Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman will sign with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Olson was already RotoBaller's No. 3 fantasy first baseman, and the move to a better park and lineup in Atlanta will make him even more attractive. The 27-year-old was a first-time All-Star in 2021 when he hit .271/.371/.540 with a .911 OPS, a career-high 39 home runs and 111 RBI in 673 plate appearances over 156 games.
