Brandon Young Recalled From Triple-A Norfolk
3 mins agoBaltimore Orioles pitching prospect Brandon Young was recalled from Triple-A Norfolk on Tuesday. The 26-year-old made his major league debut on April 19, allowing three earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out three in four innings of work. The O's do not have a scheduled starter for Friday's game against Detroit, so Young could be an option there. The 6-foot-6 hurler has looked good through three starts at Triple-A this season, posting a 2.76 ERA, 0.92 WHIP, and a 2:17 BB:K through 16 1/3 innings pitched. The righty could be used in AL-only formats, but may not be a great streamer otherwise, as the Tigers are top 10 in runs scored per game in 2025 despite being bottom 10 in strikeouts per game. Reliever Cody Poteet was placed on the 15-day IL in a corresponding move.
