Brandon Workman Picks Up Eighth Save
5 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Brandon Workman delivered a scoreless ninth inning to earn his eighth save in Saturday's 5-4 win over the Padres. While Workman recorded all three outs via the strikeout, but he also walked two hitters in the appearances. Nonetheless, he is Boston's closer for the time being and has been very solid in the role. He's now 9-1, with a 2.02 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 82 strikeouts over 58 innings this year. If Workman is still available in your league and you need saves, he is definitely worthy of an add.
