Brandon Woodruff Tagged For Six Runs On Thursday
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff had his worst outing of the year against the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday. He pitched five innings and allowed eight hits, one walk and a season-high six earned runs while striking out four. He was tagged for a pair of home runs. Woodruff took the loss in the game, dropping his record to 7-7 on the year. Through 24 starts on the season, he has a 2.48 ERA, a 0.94 WHIP and a 29.9% strikeout rate. He'll look to shake this one off in his next trip to the mound against the Cincinnati Reds on Wednesday.
