Brandon Woodruff Dominates Yankees In Win
2 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff was superb on Saturday, striking out 10 batters in his club's 4-1 victory over the Yankees. His only blemish on the night came off a Josh Donaldson solo homer in the fourth as he gave up five hits and one walk over eight frames of work. After a rough start to the season, Woodruff has been in All-Star form since his return from the IL on June 28 by owning a crisp 2.55 ERA through the 15-start span. For the season, he's now 11-4 with a 3.26 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and 162 K through 135 1/3 IP as he looks ahead to his next matchup versus the Reds.
