Brandon Pfaadt Reassigned To Minors
2 years agoArizona Diamondbacks starting pitcher Brandon Pfaadt has been reassigned to minor league camp. The right-hander was among a huge group of cuts on Sunday. Pfaadt was the most surprising player to be cut here. He was making a legitimate case for the fifth starter role on the Opening Day roster. Before being reassigned, Pfaadt posted a 3.75 ERA and 15/4 K/BB ratio across 12 innings this spring. This leaves Drew Jameson as the favorite to win the fifth starter role in Arizona. However, Ryne Nelson and Tommy Henry are still in the mix as well. Pfaadt pitched well in the minors last season, so it shouldn't be long before he gets a chance to make an impact at the MLB level.
